A coordinated front and rear lighting upgrade
Refresh your Mazda MX-5 Miata NA with LED upgrades for the pop-up headlights, front indicators and boot-mounted third brake light. This package brings a modern lighting style to the familiar MX-5, Miata or Eunos Roadster shape.
What’s included
- 7-inch halo LED projector headlights, pair: left and right units, each with three low-beam projectors and one large high-beam projector.
- LED front indicator/DRL units, pair: white DRLs, sequential amber indicators, startup animation and integrated air ducting.
- Non-strobe LED boot brake-light insert: fits inside the original third-brake-light housing.
- Load resistor: included for the front turn-signal circuit to address LED hyperflash.
The brake-light component is an LED insert, not a complete lamp assembly. Reuse the factory third-brake-light housing and lens.
Connections and halo wiring
The main headlights connect to the standard NA factory harness. The front indicator/DRL units use factory-style connections, and the brake-light insert installs inside the existing boot-light housing.
- Green headlight power lead = white halo: connect to a suitable parker/parking/running-light positive circuit.
- Red headlight power lead = amber halo: connect to a suitable indicator/turn-signal positive circuit.
- Front DRL operation: the front units have their own switchback driver. White-light activation follows the vehicle wiring.
The headlight halos and load resistor require additional wiring. Automatic headlight-halo override or switchback is not specified. Allow time for wiring, operation checks and beam alignment; follow the three-part Installation guide below.
Fitment
1989–1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata NA with standard 7-inch pop-up headlights, factory-style front indicator mounting points and the original boot third-brake-light housing. Not compatible with NB, NC or ND. Check cars with aftermarket buckets, bodywork or modified wiring before ordering.
Headlight markings
The included headlights are E-marked with DOT/SAE markings. Confirm the beam configuration, alignment and applicable local requirements before road use.
